The Diane Matthews School of Dance Arts is a premier dance school located in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Founded by Diane Matthews, the school has been providing quality dance instruction and performance opportunities to students of all ages and abilities since 1997.

About the School

At the Diane Matthews School of Dance Arts, we believe that dance is an art form that can be enjoyed by everyone. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where students can explore their creativity and express themselves through movement. We offer classes in a variety of dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary.

Our instructors are experienced professionals who are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. We strive to create a fun and positive learning environment where students can grow and develop their skills in a supportive atmosphere.

Classes

At the Diane Matthews School of Dance Arts, we offer a wide range of classes for students of all ages and abilities. Our classes are designed to help students develop their technique, build confidence, and express themselves through movement.

Our classes include:

Ballet

Ballet classes are designed to teach the fundamentals of classical ballet technique. Students will learn proper body placement, alignment, and coordination while developing strength and flexibility.

Tap

Tap classes focus on rhythm and timing, as well as the basics of tap dancing. Students will learn a variety of steps and combinations while exploring their own individual style.

Jazz

Jazz classes focus on the fundamentals of jazz dance technique, including isolations, turns, and leaps. Students will learn a variety of jazz steps and combinations while developing their own individual style.

Hip-Hop

Hip-hop classes focus on the fundamentals of hip-hop dance technique, including isolations, turns, and leaps. Students will learn a variety of hip-hop steps and combinations while exploring their own individual style.

Contemporary

Contemporary classes focus on the fundamentals of contemporary dance technique, including isolations, turns, and leaps. Students will learn a variety of contemporary steps and combinations while developing their own individual style.

Performances

The Diane Matthews School of Dance Arts is dedicated to providing students with performance opportunities. We offer a variety of performance opportunities, including showcases, competitions, and community events.

The Diane Matthews School of Dance Arts is open Monday through Thursday from 4:00-8:30 PM and Saturday from 8:45 AM-1:30 PM.
