 Saturday night at the Polish Falcon Club
This is a very nice place for all styles of ballroom dance. Doug and Mike take turns playing great CD music - new music as well as old favorites - in a well-organized selection of waltz, fox-trot, cha-cha, rumba, swing (fast and slow), hustle, mambo, tango, merengue, and even an occasional Viennese waltz and quickstep. The play-list includes newly acquired music, both old and new, as well as long-standing favorites. Requests are welcome too. Free refreshments are served. Dancing continues until 11:30. The dance is frequented mostly by couples from Pittsfield and the surrounding area, but some have come from as far away as Saratoga Springs and Springfield. Seating is available for 104 people. You will normally need to have a partner, as there are very few, if any, singles. "All dates are booked, but, as always, if a big wedding comes up, we step aside."
