Take I-90 west to exit 25. Take I-890 north to exit 6. Turn right onto South Brandywine Avenue (to Routes 146 and 5). Turn left onto State Street (Route 5 west). Go west approximately one mile and turn right onto Clinton Street. Barrett Street is broken with missing sections between State Street and Union Street, so use Clinton Street instead. Clinton Street ends at Union Street, and it becomes Barrett Street.

From the Colonie-Troy area, take 7 west, and bear right onto Union Street. Turn right onto Barrett Street.
